Sailboat Diesel Engine Maintenance

Course Number: BOAT 004


Taught by a licensed marine mechanic, this eight-week course is designed to acquaint sailors with the principles of the internal combustion diesel engine. You will become familiar with engine operations, all aspects of the 12-volt electrical system as well as hands-on troubleshooting, winterizing and commissioning. This is a great cost-savings opportunity not to be missed by anyone with an inboard diesel engine. Course includes a textbook.

The following policy will be strictly enforced: Prior to 14 days, there is a $50 service fee levied for withdrawal from any course. No fees are refunded for withdrawals within 14 days of the start date. Transfers are only permitted 14 days or more prior to the start date. Fee levied for transfer is $50. No transfers are permitted within 14 days of start date. No transfers or refunds are permitted after the course begins. Kingston/Thousand Island and Advanced live aboard courses are nonrefundable once booked.
