Web 2.0 Application Development

Want to learn how to build social media websites and mashups...this course is for you. Starting with an overview of the field, you'll get a hands-on exploration of how to build services using existing platforms such as Google Maps, Yahoo!, Facebook applications, etc. You will learn the Facebook Markup Language (FBML) and be introduced to other popular APIs. Application design principles will form an important part of this course. By the end of this course, you will be able to deploy your own Web 2.0 Mashup. It is recommended that you have a basic knowledge of HTML and PHP.

Prerequisite(s): IMAG 851 PHP Level One - Introduction to PHP

Note: It is the student's responsibility to ensure they have successfully completed all prerequisites prior to registering for a course.
