This certificate builds capacity in the management of international development and humanitarian assistance with specialized training that draws on institutional and faculty expertise. The certificate is comprised of a total of five courses chosen from specialized course offerings in niche areas that are delivered in a five-day workshop format. The program promotes a participatory approach to sustainable development and focuses on enhancing capacity to effectively implement international development programming. The acquisition of practical and transferable management skills necessary to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate project activities and results is stressed throughout the program. Facilitators are chosen for their expertise and experience in international development and humanitarian work and bring their front-line knowledge into the classroom.
